Kebnekaise – Horgalåten {1973}

Swedish psychedelic/prog band playing electrifyed traditional folk music. This track is from the second album “Kebnekaise II” from 1973. Some members played formerly in the bands The Baby Grandmothers and Mecki Mark Men. It just came to me that the Swedish band Goat must be die-hard fans of their music. This is probably one of the most important reasons I’m doing this blog, to find the inspirations and sources of outstanding and innovative music from yesterday and today. The band is still active and is releasing great music, check out their website and their label’s for more info and buying choices and here’s an interview with them from 2011.
