Wu Shao Chu – I didn’t know I loved you (till I saw you Rock & Roll) {1973}

This is a cover version by Taiwanese singer Wu Shao Chu (or Wu Xiu Zhu or 吳秀珠) of Gary Glitter’s hit I didn’t know I loved you (till I saw you Rock & Roll). I’m avoiding to post cover versions in general and I don’t want get into “trashy” music too deeply, how ever you might want do define this. This is still great and entertaining and the use of early synths together with a fuzz guitar is compelling to me. And if you listen to Giltter’s original track, the version of Wu Shao Chu of her debut album 多情空餘恨 / 心有千千結 can surely stand on its own feet.
