Fifty Foot Hose – If Not This Time {1968}

“If Not This Time” by the psychedelic rock band Fifty Foot Hose was released in 1968 on their first record “Couldron”. The band split in 1970 but reformed in 1994. The bright people at Weasel Disc Records re-realesed “Cauldron” at that time recognizing that the experimental sound and the unusual compositional structure of the music and the early use of electronic instruments made them precursors to bands like Throbbling Gristle, Pere Ubu and Chrome. The band recorded a live album and two new studio albums in 1997 and 1998. Founder and bass player Cork Marcheschi works as an artist producing public sculptures with psychedelic influences, here‘s an interview with him.
